Covenant Seminary Names Megan Jung as Associate Dean of Women

91导航 is pleased to announce the appointment of Megan Jung as Associate Dean of Women in the school鈥檚 Student Life office. In this position, Megan will focus on working with and nurturing female students and student wives, both on campus and online. She begins her role on Monday, April 17, 2023.

A 2011 graduate of Covenant鈥檚 Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC) program, Megan has been practicing therapy for the past 13 years. Before coming to Covenant as a student, she served as an intern with Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. With her previous knowledge of the Seminary and her extensive professional experience, she brings a wealth of relational expertise to her role in caring for Covenant鈥檚 students. Megan is married to Jason, who serves as a ruling elder at South City Church (PCA) in St. Louis. They have three children.

Megan has a love for people and desire to see Christ formed in them more deeply. As the Associate Dean of Women at Covenant Seminary she will seek to come alongside to nurture female students, as well as spouses, both residentially and online.

Of her appointment, Megan said, 鈥淐ovenant Seminary has solidly taken up real estate in my heart, mind, and story over the past 15 years. At Covenant, I began to taste freedom in the gospel鈥攍iving through brokenness and restoration while learning about my own sin and experiencing gracious care. It was there that I learned the value of being curious for the sake of God鈥檚 kingdom. Time at Covenant primed me to do work that I deeply love: working with people to help them heal and grow.鈥

Mark McElmurry, Dean of Students, noted: 鈥淢egan has a great love for people and a desire to see Christ formed in them more deeply. Her vibrant, warm personality is going to be a tremendous blessing to our entire community. We look forward to serving with her and seeing how God will work through her for the sake of our students.鈥
